Our Gap Tale

Opened in 2023 and proudly locally owned, Fancy Gap Country Store & Eatery sits right off the Blue Ridge Parkway as a fun, perky stop for travelers and locals. We serve our famous BBQ, delicious lunches, hearty dinners, Chocolate Shope 24 Premium Ice Cream, and offer a country store stocked with local gifts—all true to who we are.

Every Thursday night brings live bluegrass music, and weekends feature our Fine-Dine Steak Evenings, creating a cozy, elevated mountain dinner experience guests return for again and again. With everything rooted in what we truly offer, we’re committed to making Fancy Gap a must-stop destination.

Every Sunday

Old Time Jam
Settle into your Sunday afternoon with the rich, roots-driven sound of old-time music at the Fancy Gap Country Store & Eatery. Every Sunday from 2–4 p.m., musicians gather for a laid-back old-time jam featuring fiddles, banjos, and traditional tunes passed down through generations.

Blue Grass Jam
Every Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m-8pm., the Fancy Gap Country Store & Eatery comes alive with the timeless sound of bluegrass. Join local pickers and traveling musicians for an informal, front-porch–style jam where fiddles, banjos, and guitars set the tone for a relaxed mountain gathering.
